Knowledge they say is powerful, and to make good decisions one needs the right information. It is one thing to have the right information and another to have the right information at the right time. No matter how you cry over a spilled milk, nothing can be done to remedy the situation. The best step to take next is fix what is remain and move. Below are the few things I wish I knew before my 20s:
The luxury you see people buy; they’re saving money daily in big amounts for it.
Most people will not tell you they have people in their lives who are paying for a lot for them.
There is money for everything in people’s life.
The big weddings and events you see are mostly support from family, friends and church.
No one would tell you how they starved and saved so much to afford the mega shops and business they do.
Congratulate people and move on, do not be hard on yourself.
Gift people and show up for people when you feel like, you may not find people when it’s your turn.
Live within your means, there’s no reason to compete.
Life has no manual, for the fact that you’re a good person doesn’t mean you would mingle with your kind most times.
Some childhood friendships should end; many are actively competing with you and would go length to show you that you are still their mate and you do not deserve to be better at your lane.
No one perfect. If that partner was good to you, go and apologize.
Most people’s standards of marriage and relationships ends on the social media.
There is no reward in being accessible to everyone.
People like you because others love you and it has nothing to do with YOU.
Do not start what you cannot finish either in friendships or institutions.
Most times nothing is wrong in people’s lives, they just want to lie to you about their situations and you bring in your own problems and they grab yours for discussion.
Nothing will happen to anyone who rejected your proposal, everyone have their choice.
The more you make money the lonely you become, because everyone looks like a parasite to you.
People who keep their families offline are not better than online families. In an era of social media dragging, you have a lot to protect.
No one ever loves who is not on money till the end, very few would.
