[ESP-ING] Mother's Day Celebration

El 19 de mayo se celebra el día de las madres en Venezuela, una fecha que algunos etiquetan como comercial y puede que si ya que hay mucho marketing y las tiendas se aprovechan para vender más, pero por mi parte me parece bien que exista un día para homenajear a las madres, sabemos que él día de mamá es rodos los dias, y que debemos honrará siempre, pero un día especial para homenajear a mamá es bueno, para hacerla sentir especial y que la amamos.

Creo que muchas veces sentimos que tenemos a mamá allí y que ella sabe que la amamos, que no hace falta decirle tanto cuanto la amamos ella lo sabe, pero este día es perfecto para demostrar ese amor que tenemos hacia ella, sin olvidarnos de todos los demás días, ya que honrar a los padres debe ser un hábito que debemos implementar, y no es honrar con regalos, sino con gestos, palabras, actos que ayuden a decirle sin palabras que le amamos.

Hay que valorar a los padres antes de que ya no estén con nosotros, la vida pasa muy rápido y lamentablemente los padres no son eternos, las madres son esos ángeles que Dios nos mandó para cuidarnos, y son irreemplazable, nadie puede ocupar el lugar de una madre.

El día de hoy fue un conjunto de sentimientos encontrados para mi, ya que por un lado sentí mucha nostalgia por mi madre y por otro lado me sentí feliz por mis hijos y mi esposo que hicieron que mi día fuera muy especial, desde temprano me consistieron mucho, y me dieron regalos, me sentí muy querida y amada por ellos, por lo que agradezco a Dios cada día que me regala al lado de mi familia.

Mother’s Day is celebrated on May 19 in Venezuela, a date that some label as commercial—and perhaps it is, since there’s a lot of marketing and stores take advantage of it to boost sales—but personally, I think it’s good that there’s a day to honor mothers. We know that every day is Mother’s Day, and that we should always honor her, but a special day to honor Mom is good—to make her feel special and let her know we love her.

I think we often feel that Mom is always there and that she knows we love her; that we don’t need to tell her how much we love her because she already knows. but this day is perfect for showing her the love we have for her, without forgetting all the other days, since honoring our parents should be a habit we make a point of practicing—and it’s not about honoring them with gifts, but with gestures, words, and actions that help us tell her without words that we love her.

We must cherish our parents before they are no longer with us; life passes very quickly, and unfortunately, parents are not eternal. Mothers are those angels God sent to care for us, and they are irreplaceable—no one can take a mother’s place.

Today was a mix of mixed feelings for me. On the one hand, I felt very nostalgic for my mother, and on the other hand, I felt happy for my children and my husband, who made my day very special. From early in the morning, they spoiled me rotten and gave me gifts. I felt so cherished and loved by them, which is why I thank God every day for the time I get to spend with my family.
