Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
We have arrived at yet another weekend, and that means it's time for my favorite day of the week: Caturday!
Napping is best done on the Dad-Hooman's belly while he reads morning email!
The Dad-Hooman has returned from his trip to California, and the house is back to be fully complimented with Hoomans!
However, the Son-Hooman is leaving us tomorrow to go back to Seattle because he's getting ready to start his job which will keep him busy for the next nine months. He only comes and lives with us during the winter months.
I'm watching you!
Meanwhile, the Mom-Hooman has been very busy working on something she calls an "online Workshop," and while I don't know what that is we have been busy supervising to the best of our abilities!
As everybody knows, things are best accomplished with help from a cat!
Shangri is getting too big for that bed...
We cats have mostly been lounging around the house, lamenting the fact that there are no sunny spots and there haven't been any for about a week because we're having unseasonably wet and wintry weather at the moment.
According to the Dad-Hooman (who claims to know about things like this) they have had more snow up in the mountains in the past 10 days then we have had most of all of this winter which has been quite dry.
Nala, paying attention!
Personally, I don't really care, as long as I can stay nice and warm and dry inside!
Of course, we're not going to have "quiet time" for very long. Sometime late next week an old friend of the Mom-Hooman's — who actually used to live here with us — is coming to visit because she has business to take care of here in town.
Warming my belly!
I quite like her because she used to be our cat sitter many years ago before she moved away to another state. It'll be interesting to see how she takes to Shangri and Nala whom she has never met.
Otherwise, we don't really have a lot of new news to report. When the weather is wet and cold like this, the Hoomans tend to stay inside so we don't get to see them working out in their garden.
Smudge!
Official spring is less than ten days away, but from looking out the window it looks very unlike spring at the moment! We actually had a fresh dusting of snow this morning.
In between doing other things, the Dad-Hooman has been busy organizing all the photographs of the cats from the last ten years, and it seems that we have thousands and thousands of them!
Shangri
That is not so surprising, after all, because we make fabulous subject material for photography even though we often move out of the way or turn sideways, leaving little more than "cat blur" to look at!
But it only makes the Hoomans that much happier when they have to work a little bit to get a really good shot!
The sun feels good!
And, on that note, I think I'll get back to my nap!
I hope your Caturday was a good one, and we appreciate you spending a little bit of your day with us!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
