Greetings Felines and Hoomans of the Hive!
It's a beautiful sunny Saturday here in Washington state, and I have been enjoying the sunpuddles around the house!
Wait... WHAT? Did I just say "Saturday?" That means it's "CATURDAY," our own special cat day... now in its 16th year! Yes, Caturday has actually been "a thing" on the web for that long!

Since the Hoomans are still "in quarantine", they have been working on a lot of their arts and crafts projects.
I really like to lay down in the middle of what they are doing; supervising to make sure the creativity is flowing properly.
Besides, what is a good piece of artwork if it doesn't come with a little extra cat hair?
On the whole, I have found the whole quarantine thing to be a very good thing for cats!
In Other News...
We are not far from the one-month mark of our new home here on Hive, and I'm happy to say that it all seems to be going remarkably well, so far!
Of course, there's still lots of work ahead... now comes the fun part where we get to attract new people to Hive... and then we have to figure out how to keep them interested enough that they want to actually stay here as active community members.
That seems to always be one of the greatest challenges for online communities: It's great that we can attract people, but somehow we have to figure out ways to make them want to stay.
Of course, a very good starting point is to have a strong and active and engaged community in place for people to want to be part of.
And that's where I plan to direct a lot of my efforts, over the next months.
Appealing to "Old Stemians"
Although the cat community on Steem didn't ever get a lot of traction, we did have quite a few people posting about their feline friends, at one time or another.
Unlike many, one of the things you will not find me doing is "talking smack" about Steem... and I am planning to continue making occasional posts there — probably through the end of 2020 — in hopes of making contact with a few of my old followers who were into "Cat Blogs."
Yes, absolutely my focus will be on building the Cat Community — and my own following — here on Hive, but I don't harbor any secret desires to actually expedite Steem's journey "down the tubes," if that — indeed — is what ends up happening.
In some of my upcoming posts, I'll be sharing some thoughts on the way Steem may actually continue to have "value" to us, here on Hive... I have always been a believer in using our resources as carefully as possible, and this is no exception.
In the meantime, though, I'm just going to enjoy my Caturday... and I hope you enjoy yours, as well!
