Sterilized... finally.
Hello, cat lovers! I really hope you're having a good Sunday,
and by the way, Happy Father's Day to all the dads of this community!
Today has been a really good day for us. Our cat Atenas finally got her sterilization.
My mom and I have been waiting for this day since she came to our house in November of the last year. Here in our city, there are a few groups dedicated to rescue strayed animals and also to do this low-cost sterilization for the citizens who own cats and dogs.
We got up early, and we left the house almost at 7 o'clock. When we arrived at the place, there were two girls there already with their cats. We were the third ones. People started coming, many of them with cats, and later, people were arriving with dogs.
I was surprised to know that some people weren't the owners of the cats they took for the sterilization; they were cats from their communities and decided to pay their surgeries to stop them from propagation. It was very thoughtful of them.
I also met a friend there who was with his cat for a revision. His cat also got sterilized. It was very nice seeing him.
The woman in charge of this activity gave us post-surgery indications and then started to take the information of the pets. After half an hour, they took the first ten cats for the operation. We waited for a while, and then they called us. Everything went just fine.
We went home, and we put Atenas a girdle on to prevent flies and to avoid licking herself on the wound.
She's still anesthesiated, but she's responding fine. I'm just waiting for her to wake up and give her some food and water.
Another cool fact is that they sold us there the treatment and gave us the instructions. The lady was very kind and treated us well.
