For the past few days, I have been really really busy to the point that my usual cuddling time with Heihei was already affected. Yesterday I already finished my portfolio, so my workload somehow lessened, that's why today I decided to bathe him. The good thing about Heihei is that he's not that hydrophobic. I already shared here that I bathe him every Saturday—well except last week's Saturday because that day it was raining too hard and it was too cold for him. We don't have blower so I can't bathe him unless the sun's up.
It was already past 10:00 A.M. when I got time to bathe him, and of 'course he still struggled a little, but his reactions were evidently less aggressive compared to how Muning and Maning reacted to their bath. To prepare, I boiled water first, then I added a little amount of it to the cold ones to make it lukewarm. I also prepared a clean cloth that I could use to wipe him after his bath. The bathing time didn't last long because I didn't want him to feel cold. We're surrounded by plants and trees so there are occasional light breezes and wind that pass by.
To avoid the coldness seeping in, I immediately wrapped him like a burrito when we were finished. Since there was occasional wind blowing by, Heihei couldn't help but shake with coldness so I held him in my arms while hand-picking out the lice that's been dwelling in his fur lately. It was a tedious task, but still, it was satisfying because they popped when I crushed them with my thumbnail. The drying and lice removal lasted quite longer than expected because it was a couple of weeks worth of lice I was removing, but anyway, when we were done I let him wander off to fully dry his fur.
When afternoon came, his fur was already back to its normal fluffiness and also he's back to his usual spot—between Muning and Maning. They're already on their afternoon siesta and hopefully, I also can before I publish this one! Btw, how about you—what did you do today with your feline furballs? Did you have a good time?
