Happy Saturday, Cartuday! Today I’d like to share a few thoughts on my new experience as a cat mum. In case you don’t know me or haven’t read my posts, let me introduce myself: I’m Ana María and I’ve just given birth to a kitten who arrived at our house one rainy night a month ago. This isn’t my first time raising a kitten; I’ve had several cats, but it’s been many years since I last had this experience.
As I’ve matured in age and experience 😂🤣, I’m more in tune with the animals around me; whenever they’re feeling unwell or something’s wrong, I notice, and I always say I know them as if I’d given birth to them myself. 😁
My family finds it funny that, wherever I am, my dog Duke and now the cat Hermosu are there too, and it’s not as if I call them; they simply seek me out wherever I am in the house and stay with me.
One afternoon I lay down in the living room to read a book and Hermosu came straight over and curled up under my neck; he climbed onto my tummy, licked me and sniffed all over my face, then bit my face, my glasses and everything else, including my mobile, and the more I ignored them, the worse they got. He wouldn’t let me read; I’d put the book down and he’d climb back up; a sweet but stressful situation.
I have a brother who prefers cats to dogs and gets jealous because, according to him, Hermosu isn’t affectionate. The thing is, animals are affectionate with whoever they choose, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the kitten will seek out my brother and win himself a sponsor for his food. 😁.
That’s all for today; see you in the comments and until the next Cartuday.
