Every animal has its own personality and behaves differently, even if they’re the same species. As someone who’s owned several cats and dogs over the years, I can vouch for that.
Las travesuras de mi gatito 🐱
Cada animal tiene su carácter y actúan de forma diferente aunque sean de una misma especie, como dueña de varios gatos y perros a lo largo de mi vida doy certeza de que es así.
He always gets what he wants
Hermosú is a cat who arrived at our home four months ago; he’s in the middle of growing up and is already showing signs of his character: he’s very persistent and, when he sets his mind on something, he gets it. For example, if I lie down on the bed, within a few minutes he comes over to climb on top of me; even if I take him off several times and shoo him away, he comes back and keeps trying. For instance, on the day the photos were taken, I was writing content and, the moment I concentrated, he took the opportunity to climb onto my chest; not content with that, he started putting his paws on the object I was holding, because he wanted my full attention. Honestly, I was startled that day when I felt the weight on my chest; he won 🥴.
Siempre logra lo que quiere
Hermosú es un gato que llegó a casa hace 4 meses, está en proceso de crecimiento y ya da muestra de su carácter, es muy insistente y cuando se propone algo logra, por ejemplo si me acuesto en la cama a los pocos minutos llega para subirse encima de mí aunque lo baje varias veces y lo espanté él vuelve e insiste, por ejemplo el día de las fotos yo estaba redactando contenido y en el momento que me concentré fue que él aprovechó para subirse en mi pecho no conforme con eso, comienza a poner sus patas en el objeto que tenga en las manos, porque quiere toda mi atención. Sinceramente, ese día me asusté cuando me percaté del peso en mi pecho, él ganó 🥴.
His friends
Before Hermosú arrived home, the neighbours’ cats would come round at night to use the garden to do their business; that annoyed me because I had to pick up their poo. Once he arrived, I thought he’d mark his territory and defend it by chasing all the other cats away—I was wrong 🥴😝.
Now there are more cats than before; males and females parade around the house as if they lived here. They’re all big, and you can see Hermosú playing with them and inviting them into other parts of the house, even during the day. 🙃🤭.
My mum is annoyed by this situation; she doesn’t want Hermosú or his gang of friends anymore because there are too many of them; during the day, only a few come round, but at night it’s a constant stream and sometimes they take to meowing. 🤪. This cat is far too sociable; on the one hand, I’m no longer afraid that he’ll get hurt again like he did a few months ago, but on the other hand, so many cats are a nuisance and my dog Duke barks a lot.
Sus amigos
Antes de que Hermosú llegará a casa, los gatos vecinos venían en las noches a usar el terreno para hacer sus necesidades, eso me molestaba porque tenía que recoger sus heces. Una vez que llegó pensé que él marcaría su territorio y lo defendería alejando todos los demás gatos, me equivoqué 🥴😝.
Ahora vienen más gatos que antes, hembras y machos hacen desfile por la casa como si vivieran aquí. Todos son grandes y Hermosú se le ve jugando con ellos e invitándolos a otras áreas de la casa, incluso de día. 🙃🤭.
Mi mamá está molesta con esta situación, ya no quiere ni a Hermosú ni a la banda de amigos porque son muchos, en el día vienen pocos, pero en la noche es el desfile y a veces les da por maullar. 🤪. Este gato es demasiado sociable, por un lado, se me quitó el miedo que lo volvieran a lastimar como pasó hace unos meses, pero por el otro tantos gatos molestan y mi perro Duke ladra mucho.
His strange way of sleeping
No matter how much my mum tried to keep the cat off her sofa, it ended up becoming his bed at night; my mum’s worried he’ll bring his friends over to sleep there too, and the other night, she got up, turned on the living room light, and there was the cat, fast asleep—he didn’t even realise the lights had come on; my mum took these really funny photos of him. Look how he lets his head hang over the edge; he always sleeps like that and it’s something I’d never seen before; I hope it doesn’t hurt him. 😂
Su extraña forma de dormir
Por más que mi mamá cuidó su sofá del gato, este terminó siendo su cama nocturna, mi mamá le preocupa que traiga a sus amigos a dormir también y en estas noches se levantó prendió la luz de la sala y allí estaba el gato, dormido profundamente, ni siquiera se dio cuenta de que encendieron las luces, mi mamá le tomó estas fotos tan chistosas. Fíjense cómo deja caer su cabeza en la orilla, siempre duerme así y es algo que nunca había visto, espero que no le haga daño. 😂
