There’s nothing more comforting than a warm bowl of broth during the chilly season, and it seems I’m not the only one who enjoys it!
One day, as I sipped on my homemade broth, my kitty gazed up at me with a curious, expectant meow.
That’s when I thought, why not make some broth just for them? I had no idea it would become their new favourite treat, keeping them hydrated and giving their coat a beautiful shine!
Here's how,
Chicken Carcass Cat Broth Recipe 🐾
Ingredients: 🐾
1 chicken carcass (raw or cooked from left over roast)
Filtered water (enough to fully submerge the carcass)
Optional: A small pinch of parsley or catnip for extra flavour.
Instructions: 🐾
Ensure the chicken carcass is free of seasoning, sauces, or added salt.
Place the chicken carcass in a pot.
Add enough water to cover it by at least 3 inches.
Simmer on low heat for at least 4 hours, or use a slow cooker.
Let the broth cool completely.
Strain, removing all bones and solid pieces.
Pour into a clean container.
Label and store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze in small portions for future use.
It can be served warm or cold.
Serve the broth as a treat, or pour it over your cat's food. If desired, add a small amount of fresh herbs, such as catnip or parsley.
My kitties love slurping on this in between their meals.
I was amazed at how much they loved this broth!
This easy, simple, nutritious broth is packed with natural goodness, making it perfect for fussy eaters, senior cats, or as a tasty treat to enhance their meals.
Best of all, it’s easy to make, and they truly enjoy it!
Have a wonderful Caturday!
