It's Beer Saturday!!
Well Sunday, but the photos are from yesterday.
It's beer O Clock!!
My South African buddy had been breaking out the Braii most weekends, so I'm taking inspiration and breaking out my Weber any time there is a glimmer of sunshine!
Beaverstown Neck Oil Session IPA

Beer and barbecue
Can Art
I like this one a lot. It's a funky looking can and the beer lives up to the cool looks too. It's a beer I know and have drank before a few times. My friend tells me that they sell this at the bar at Whiteheart Lane where Spurs play Premier League football.
All the skulls are a bit mad, but the art works. This art another thing I love about craft beers, other than the unique taste and the fact you are often supporting a small business rather than a huge multi national.
Who Knew skulling a few IPAs could make you a patron of the arts!
excuse the pun!

Thoughts
As usual, I poured the beet into my favourite beer glass. I think I should contact Martin's off license and tell him about all this free advertising I'm giving him!
Anyway the pour revealed a light tinted orange colour, with a nice bit of froth. This one was quite lively with plenty of effervescence.
Great smell from the glass after the pour - floral and hoppy. Citrus notes of orange and pink grapefruit, balanced with light toffee sweetness - very well balanced.
This is a very tasy IPA, where sweet and bitter flavours combine to pack fruit infused punch. It does what it says on the tin - very sessionable beer.
Nice as it is, if they double hopped it and brought the % closer to 6%, this would be unreal! I need to try more beers from the Beaverstown stable.
