A cream pint for Beer Saturday
It's Saturday again folks meaning that a few like-minded beer enthusiasts under the expert stewardship of the main man share some beers of the world. You might even get a story, a joke, a rundown of a great night out or an even better night in.
Arah would ya look at that for a creamy pint, perfectly pulled and ready for imbibing! Yes, I just said imbibing, somebody hit me a slap quickly, tis far from words like imbibing I was reared! We went to a local pub the other evening for dinner and I had a pint with it.
I went for a beef burger with bacon and cheese, with chips and garlic dip and my wife had the soup of the day and Tempura Monkfish bites and the kids had pizza, pasta and goujons respectively. We were all happy with our choices and ever since having the nicest Tempura vegetables ever when spending a week in Bottle beach on the north of Koh Phangan in Thailand, anything with the word Tempura will have either my wife or I ordering to hopefully find something that measures up and to this day we have not found someplace, so if you ever make it to Bottle beach, when you arrive around the headland from Chaloklum it is the bungalows on the left near the rocks that you want to go to and hopefully they still do their tempura vegetables. Another favourite was the freshly caught Red snapper on the barbecue which was lit on the beach a couple of times a week.
Now back to beer Saturday and my tasty pint of Guinness, here's another look at it!
The Grade
A respectable 3.5 out of 5 for this Guinness, which was pretty good. It is not the best pint in our village, but it was still decent.
3.5/5
