Working in Dublin
The nature of my job means regular spins up and down to Dublin. I often drive up and down on the day, but there are also times when I've to work up their for two consecutive days in order to attend team meetings, meet vendors or attend to senior management matters.
Last week I had two days in a row, so I stayed in a city centre hotel. We get to choose the hotel, so I tend to opt for one with a pool and leisure centre, so that I can start day two with a swim, jacuzzi and sauna which is a marvellous way to start any day!
That evening I went to a pub called The Dockers for a few pints.
It's a pretty funky bar in Dublin and it sells some good IPAs including Kinegar's Big Bunny, a firm favourite of mine and a local beer from Donegal.
It's always nice to support local!
Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin!
I wasn't the only one drinking a few IPAs either. I got these photos from one of my good friends who lives in California.
He was missing in action in Miami on a trip woth his wife, enjoying a few nice hoppy local IPAs of his own.
It's a worldwide thing now and everyone enjoys a nice cool, refreshing IPA, well everyone with a semblance of taste anyways!
What IPA is the go to where you are? Or is there another staple drink like the Guinness we have here in Ireland?
I'd love to hear all about it in the comments below.
Well, that's it.
Until next time Beer Saturdayorians...
Oh by the way...
How was your Beer Saturday?
Where were you?
What was the drink of choice?
Who was with you?
Are those your feet?
How's your auld one?
Any other craic?
