Happy Saturday, Beer fans!

Today I'm making my first post for #BeerSaturday
My Original plan was to actually do something unexpected, drink a fine glass of Moscato!
However, it ended up being a post on Blue Ribbon, a personally nostalgic beer!

As I was writing my post, I made a shocking discovery behind my laptop...

Attempting to drink on the job

A miner! In Possession?!

My rather rebellious Goldspot Miner decided to attempt to smuggle a Blue Ribbon beer onto the job!
Workplace violation aside, Miners aren't even legally allowed to drink!
Of course, after issuing the appropriate fines and putting the suspect into custody, I confiscated the can. Turning it in for holding.

BAC test underway
Upon being turned in, it was suspected that the Blue Ribbon may have been under the influence during the crime. We immediately sent it to forensics, who ran a test to find the Blood Alcohol Content using the highly advanced ANTEC analysis system.
Concerningly, we discovered not only the subjects blood was overly saturated with water and other contaminants, but Blue Ribbon also had a 4.8% alcohol content! Further testing was needed...

Jokes aside, I actually like Blue Ribbon beer! It's mild, light but not too light, and almost a tad sweet after you've had 1 or 2. 😆
When I was 18-19 and moved in with my first Roommate, Blue Ribbon was our go-to choice of beer for no particular reason. We drank it the first few times in our new place, then just kept it up. After 6 months, we didn't even want to change the tradition. Fortunately, we didn't develop a terrible habit beyond a few beers a week, but we had many great talks on the back porch with once of these in hand.

Now, when I drink this it fills me with memories of early adulthood and the blissful over-appreciation of alcohol that comes with it. Still a good beer till this day, not that it's that long. I think like with many things, different beverages that have a sign of significance hit harder. If it was a drink you had on the first date with your spouse, or a whiskey you drank 8 shots too many of once and created some memorable moments with; it doesn't matter, it still is forever infused with these memories.
