My dearest beer-community! Christmas vacation is finally over and I am ready for some new postings about experiencing new beer variations.
Whats coming up for the next weeks? Well - one real german x-mas beer, one dark x-mas present beer and one strong blod belgian beer. Quite a few candidates for receiving my honest icecuby voting.
Beery x-mas present!
First one to meet my icecube filled glass for today will be Arcobräu Schloss Dunkel. When I received a x-mas package from that one has been part of it (very right in the pic). Usually he is recommending only the good stuff, so icecubes ready - I excitedly started my tasting.
Once poured in, the beer showed a coke-like chocolatey colour - very dark! Also the foam showed a satisfying creamy condition and a nice cream-white color. My eyes already have been satisfied by just watching the beer waiting in the glass for the first sip.
The taste was really okay, not as full and rich as other dark beers, but still very decent. With its 5.2 % Vol of alcohol its still middle ranged but I very fast recognized the alcoholic effect. Nice tasting!
Fun facts
The Arcobräu Gräfliches Brauhaus brews, among other things, the beer “Schloss Dunkel,” a dark full-bodied beer that is one of the traditional products in the brewery's range. The brewery values its regional roots and traditional brewing methods. Customers appreciate the full flavor and quality of the beers, with Schloss Dunkel being described as particularly harmonious and malty. Some customers mention that the beer is ideal with hearty dishes. Occasionally, there are complaints that the range is difficult to obtain in the region.
