Well it was far to nice this evening to stay in so it was a strollDown the hill to the Railway Brew House by the Station.
A few of the patrons were drowning their sorrows a there was a rail strike on and they had turned up to catch a train that wasn’t coming. I did wonder why it was so quiet you do normally get Trains thundering past every 10 minutes. Ill wind time for a quiet pint.
Tonight’s tipple was a pint of “Doom” a 4% ABV Amber ale from Sharps brewery in Rock Cornwall. Named after the Doom bar an infamous sandbar at the mouth of the Camel Estuary in Cornwall. Its a present beer for drinking on a summer evening or with a Sunday Roast but thats a story for tomorrow with my Dad. The Beer is quite common in many pubs in the southwest including the Welcome Stranger where I go for Sunday lunch with my Dad each week.
