Alright, something a bit different from me - a post for #beersaturday! As those who know me IRL can attest, I'm an avid beer geek. Today I managed to make my way down to J Wakefield Brewing in Miami! Not my first time there, but one of my preferred breweries in the area for their decor and culture - their flight board is pretty dope:
The above is an older image from a previous visit
From today:
Started with a draft of their Imperial IPA - From Kendall which was followed up by a few smaller pours of sours (Punch it Chewie and Haterade) and a draft of their Hops for Teacher IPA:
I'm typically not a huge fan of sours, but am willing to branch out and try smaller pours based on recommendations. Not pictured is my last draft of their Amber Waves amber ale, overall a pretty solid time there. My favorite beer from them, El Jefe was unfortunately not on draft. Having had this on draft and in cans, on draft is definitely preferred.
A short walk from the brewery, ending the drinking portion of the night at a local restaurant, I had a ZFG Pale Ale - a zero IBU pale ale which was a bit surprising. With the zero IBU declaration one would think it was rather bland, but the hop flavor was still there.
Thanks for reading and cheers for beers!
