I finished work early today as we had some visitors and made it out to the pub for a couple of drinks before we had to pick-up our daughter from school. We went to the Roseburn Bar in Edinburgh, which is the bar to go to when Scotland are playing rugby at home.
I was pretty delighted to see that they had McEwans 80 on tap. McEwans was originally brewed in Edinburgh and was one of the top beers in Scotland, but I'm not sure about where its brewed now. Their 80 is a heavy, which is still light enough, and a little creamy.
I hadnt had a McEwan's 80 for quite some time, so had to get one !
We were then a little time pressured for the school pick-up, so I followed up with a Jack Daniels and coke as a chaser !
Its a lovely day here in Edinburgh - and heres hoping everyone has a great weekend when it comes.
