I am drunk. I hope this post doesn't feel drunk to you. It's Christmas guys, and I didn't expect it to end this way. Pardon me, I had no expectations. I kept asking my colleagues what we will be cooking for Christmas, they kept saying they had no idea. This morning, we woke up to a broken toilet again. And they fixed it right from when we woke up around 7 am till 11:30 am.
Afterward, I checked the kitchen and the only food in there was Egusi soup. I am not a fan of soup so I made white rice to accompany my portion of the food. It turned out fate had different plans for us. Our neighbor gave us a full plate of fried rice and lots of goat meats. So, when we're done fixing the toilet, we dug into the food.
Yesterday, we had plans to go out with my girlfriends today. We schedule it for 1 pm. I tried dragging my housemate out, none of them budge. So, I left them for my friends.
Eunice couldn't come, she had to get her hair done for tomorrow. What's happening tomorrow again? It's an all-girls time-out. No boys... No! Pause! Dorcas said each of us should come with our boyfriends. I have no boyfriend. I am dead 😂
The fact that Eunice couldn't make it to today's outing left me with Dorcas to accompany this new guy who is crushing on me, out... Hehehehe
A few minutes before we left for the bar, we visited another friend of ours and he served us rice and stew with lots of chicken as meats, and drinks. Gosh... I was so full by the time we were done. I told my friend I won't be able to walk out. She laughed hard.
Later on, we left for the bar. Here is where the rest of the evening finished off. I tried all my best to convince my benefactor that I was full and I won't be able to drink anything. He wasn't having any of that. We ordered drinks.
We were halfway into our drinks when Dorcas requested for Catfish. Oh my goodness, Dorcas, don't do this to me, I said, I am so full. She laughed. My benefactor asked us to go and place the order. We went and they promised to prepare it and bring it for us.
The waitress brought one plate, he asked for another one separately for me. Now, I am going to die, I exclaimed. He said I won't die, today, we are celebrating the birth of Christ
I mustered up the courage and dug into the fish with him helping me, of course. We were able to break everything down to the bones too. Dorcas and her brother couldn't hahaha.
We congratulated ourselves for being able to do the things Dorcas couldn't do(finishing the fish from head to tail)
Soon, my benefactor ordered new drinks, no please, I am full, the waiter was so wicked, he convinced me to take another bottle, this time the small one. Oh goodness me, I didn't sign up for anything of this.
They brought more drinks. He stood up to withdraw more cash, only to return with suya, this isn't fair at all. He wants to overfeed me, so I wouldn't be able to go home. No, I'll be crawling home... Hehehehe.
Wait, did I say I am drunk? Sorry, I lied. I can't get drunk as a result of two bottles of beer. Maybe in the next life... Hahaha
I am home, typing this, and even though it was fun, I am super-filled. I hope that overfeeding won't affect my sleep.
I remember I said I didn't expect today to turn out this way,but, it did. I am grateful to the universe for making this day enjoyable for me. This is my first Christmas away from everyone that I call family, I thought it will be a lonely one, I am sincerely pleased with the outcome.
