Hi, here I go for my first #BeerSaturday...
As a true beer lover, I have already tasted several thousands of bottles of the delicious barley liquor, and today another new item on my list, and I can now present it to you!
Today's pick: Erdinger Weissbier - 5.3% - Privatbrauerei Erdinger Weissbräu Werner Brombach GmbH - Germany
I tasted the unfiltered version in bottle - 50cl.
The color is light orange amber to golden, with a large white head, like most Weissbier.
In the aroma I experience wheat malt, bread, lightly toast, with a fruity touch.
The taste certainly shows the wheat malt with fruity hints, a bit yeasty. Some bread and light caramel notes. Slightly fruity hints of stone fruit and a little banana.
A medium body, although it does seem a bit watery at times. Average carbonation. Ok for a Weissbier but not the best.
Have a nice weekend everyone!
