I'm technically using the gaming laptop for gaming... meet RPG Sessions, and my character Hank Holcomb from 's campaign. On the keyboard is a can of Rogue Batsquatch Hazy India Pale Ale from
's husband T. and a bag of Sasquatch-flavored chips I got to share with the group.
The beer is hoppy and fruity, not very malty or bitter. I mean, there's lots of fruit flavor. Weird... I don't hate it, but it's not something I'd normally choose.
Tim's Cascade Style Sasquatch Surprise potato chips are also odd, but this blend of vinegar, barbecue flavors, and paprika notes is tasty. Worth a try, I say.
Genesys is awesome. As I type this a couple days after that game night, I am also playing Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. D&D is a venerable game, and there is a lot of great worldbuilding and lore to draw from when playing.
That said, in my opinion, Genesys is just a better game system in almost every respect. I really like the dice pool mechanic instead of d20 + math, then damage die + math. The option to get boost dice or setback dice adds a lot more flavor, too. Not as much flavor as this beer or these chips though!
By the way, the current game almost went VERY badly. There were many giant spiders, represented by very inconsequential-looking meeples but capable of dishing a LOT of damage. My half-orc cleric has burned almost all his spell slots keeping everyone alive, and would have gone down to the onslaught of eight-legged freaks if not for racial resilience.
I do like the 5th Edition Character Sheet app on Android. Handy! Anyhow, on with the nonsense. THE MATH ROCKS GO CLICKY-CLACK!
Looks like Bitcoin is rebounding from yet another premature prediction of death. Unlike previous times, it looks like HIVE may be outpacing it. Yay!
