Hello beer lovers!
Today is Saturday, and it seems like a great day to leave the house and find a place to relax and have a beer to combat the scorching weather that's gripping us at the end of summer.
Walking and wandering around the city center, I rediscovered a quiet spot with a magnificent view where I could fully enjoy several beers at Café Europa.
With a table to myself, and enough time to let the hours pass without thinking about anything, just contemplating the surrounding landscape, I ordered the first beer and a side dish that included cheese cubes, pitted olives, and some carrot pieces.
The beer this time was Cristal, a domestically produced beer favored by most Cubans. I should clarify that this specific beer is produced in Cuba because I know that Peru and Chile have similarly named brands, albeit with different flavors and consistencies.
With an alcohol content of about 4.9 percent, it's a pale lager, specifically a golden beer. It has a flavor that distinguishes itself from the rest of the beers sold in Cuba. With a middling tone between light and strong, it's definitely appreciated on a day like today when the heat is stifling.
Unfortunately, this brand is seen less and less here, so I consider myself lucky to have been able to find it today without the crowds.
By now I've had four glasses of beer, accompanied by two plates of cheese and olives. I figure I'll share them with you and then get ready to try to write a poem. If I don't manage it, well, never mind. I'll just be here, enjoying the weather, the views, and this beer I'm sharing with you all.
This is #BeerSaturday week and I would like to invite to write a post in any language about beer with at least 3 pictures.
Until the next drink, everyone, a hug of light!
Cheers!
