What do we have here? Well, well, a late May production date, and a new double IPA from Iowa. Sold, and sold!
Don't worry, I got a close up for all you fellow #beersaturday lovers..
I don't know where the hot dog and Delorian came from, but this beer is delicious. Absolutely delicious.
Coming in at 7.8% ABV, this one has zero alcohol taste. This is another dangerously smooth beer, and I sucked them down faster than I wanted to. What can I say? I love the Simcoe!
Hops are all over the place, and fruity. There is no grass or green to this one. You have no idea how smooth this beer was. I can taste a bit of the wheat in the malt bill; there is not bitterness whatsoever to this one, and even Liza enjoyed a sip of it.
The Untappd community only had 1.000 check-ins, so I'm early on this one. I gave this beer a 4.25/5.00. The Toppling folks teamed up with the small Illinois brewer Hop Butcher of the World for this tasty hazy. If you love hazys, I highly recommend picking up a four-pack if you see it when out and about.
Not only was this beer delicious, but it got the creative juices flowing too. I present to you the new "cardboard cave" I made for our daughter. Who needs toys when you have cardboard boxes laying around?
Mr Tomato head in action! I was trying to capture some lightning in the background, but no luck. That shirt is pretty cool though, right? (Just kidding...I just bought it this weekend at a local store then proceeded to spill salsa all over it). It was an impressive Saturday night, nonetheless.
Thanks for checking this out; hoping everyone had a wonderful #beersaturday too!
