Tonight's entry is double IPA from a New York state brewery called Equilibrium. It's a mighty one, coming in at 8.1 ABV. It's an interesting beer.
There is no listing for the hop bill that I can find, but I can taste some citra and something tropical...and something that reminds me of mangos/pineapples...not sure what exactly that is. It's got a very nice back end that is very dry and hoppy. The color and taste is exactly what we expect from a hazy style IPA.
The booze is definitely there, but you can't taste it. It's another solid double where you could probably put 4-5 down pretty quickly and then look to be finding an Uber.
This is my first beer from this brewery. Untappd has a sample rating of 4.25 / 5. It's a good beer, but nothing outstanding, to be honest. I gave it a 3.75 / 5.0. Maybe it's all the Iowa beer I've been drinking leading to skewed score. Also, I can't find a production date on the can, so it might be a bit older than I prefer for these type of beers. I will definitely give a second chance however.
Hope everyone out there is having a wonderful (and safe) Saturday evening Cheers!
