Hail to the Hive!
Anyone that knows me is aware I am NOT a Christmas person. I’d go as far as to say I make the grinch look festive and I believe the story of Scrooge is a sad tale of bullying the elderly into towing the corporate line. Horrific abuse if I’m honest. But having said all that, as I lay here belly busting after having ate so much curry goat and rice n peas, I am happy to be with s family over this period. They are clearly very happy to have us here after such a long absence and don’t seem to mind me over indulging in the local brew.
I probably wouldn’t mind Christmas as much if rather than Santas outfit being the result of a coca cola advertising campaign in the 1930’s it had been a Red stripe advertisement instead. I mean that would be ace. Drunk Santa knocking back the Red Stripe giving presents to all the wrong people. Even that would be a great tradition. Giving totally the wrong presents to the wrong people. To be fair most people put zero thought into it anyway so would be a great excuse.
But anyway I digress. It’s all been rather pleasant so far, and warm as well which is awesome. The beers are the only cold things I want to see this time of hear out here.
And let’s not forget, the New Year is looming. I have always loved New Year beacause if it’s been a crap year you can wish it good riddance and look forward to a new chapter. Also if it has been a great year you can raise a glass, rub your hands together and bring on the next. For me it really is a win win scenario New Years.
So on that note, if anyone has really bothered to read this, I wish you all an amazing New Year to come. Let us work on building #hive into an even better vehicle for us all to create and prosper on and within and that anything and everything we turn our hands to in 2023 ends up being sweet as honey!
I wish you all the best my #hive friends. Eat, drink and be merry. Stay positive and work collectively for better things
