For the last #Beersaturday of the year, I have a very special beer for you all.
It is again from a Hungarian brewery called Pannonhalmi Föapatsag or Pannonhalma Archabbey.
This Abbey is looking back on over 1000 years of history. It was founded by prince Geza in the year 996. The Abbey is still working and benedictine monks still live and work there. It is also an elite school where only the best of pupils get a chance regardless of their financial backgrounds. Even if you have flawless scores in school you will be 1 of thousands applying for it.
They abbey has various products for sale. They produce their very own lavender oil and have a beautiful winery with amazing whines, a manufacture for chocolate and they also produce various types of jams, and soaps as well as lotions.
But I am getting sidetracked here. We want to talk about BEER!
The brewery is situated beneath the Abbey in Ravazd. It is equipped with a modern computer driven brewing machinery that was produced by Hungarian brewing specialists. They have a physical shop and it is definately worth a visit. One of the things on my bucket list. They also do guided tours with beer tasting. Maybe something could organize? Come to Vienna and we can drive to the Abbey in an hour from there! Would be a nice little first HIVE meetup Hungary together with the BEER community!

This Beersaturday I want to invite some new Hiveans who signed up with my code recently:

and
to start off in the Beer community!
I would like to finish my post with a translation of the quote on the website of the brewery. It is from Helena Bier-Herr who wrote an awesome book about beer.
My humble translation to english:
"The most important impact on ones health when talking about beer is certainly its ability to build community. The mission of beer and its every taste is to make the spiritual and physical life of every human better, stronger and more open. Shots are often drank by those who tend to turn inwards and are often used as hopeless escape, while beer opens up the individual and lets the light of interacting with others in your soul. This could be the most healthy benefit of the beer."
Cheers And Happy New Year!
