2017 - The Belgian brewers of Duvel and the Dutch brewers of 't IJ made devilish plans and shared their passion, knowledge and the brewing kettle with a cobrew as a result. They baptized this surprising cobrew "'t Ei van de Duivel"- “the Egg of the Devil”.
This one is a special beer with a devils character. Brewed together by the Belgian Duvel and the Amsterdam 't IJ. This Black Rye IPA combines fresh mandarin, pineapple and grapefruit notes with the peppery bite of rye, a hint of liquorice and roasted malt. Quirky bitter (EBU50), but at the same time complex and tasteful.
From May 2020, a new edition of the successful cobrew between the Belgian brewers of Duvel and the Dutch brewers of 't IJ is available. This year, the brewers are going for a different type of IPA and the name has also been given a new look: 't IJ van de Duvel.
Both Duvel Moortgat and Brouwerij 't IJ share a great passion for brewing and the ambition to create new flavors. With the summer approaching, both breweries have joined forces and a new beer is being shared: 't IJ van de Duvel, a hazy IPA - a blonde beer with a nice cloudiness.
