Oh yah! This is definitely my jam! Hazy neipa is where it is at for me and i bet these belgians do it right.
Every neipa we brew has citra and mosaic, oats and wheat for all the reasons you mention. The challenge with a double ipa is to have the flavour and body become enoigh to balance out the high abv. Many of them become unbalanced one way or the other and some just taste like a normal ipa with a shot of vodka dumped in.
Sounds like an awesome brew i wish we could get on this side of the pond.
