I was talking with the other day about the state of Historic on Arena. We are both very frustrated with the same 5 decks that everybody uses, and how Wizards of the Coast keeps printing new abusive cards to make those same 5 decks even stronger.
Whenever I get to this state of frustration, I go back to mono-red with Torbran, and I start winning again:D
recommended using The Den of the Bugbear, and now I am excited to beat people with my land:) If Torbran is out, the 3/2 land-goblin and the 1/1 creature that it makes would do 8 damage... not too shabby.
This deck works well against the Elf deck and the goblin deck because of the ability to kill all of the 1/1's.
The Ugin deck doesn't stand a chance, since this deck is pretty fast.
The same goes for mill decks.
I haven't beaten the Gate deck yet, with the Gatebreaker Ram, Gates Ablaze, and all that shit, but that's the only really common archetype that I don't have a chance against.
