And I still think I don't know a lot about what goes on in crypto. I started from a time when being involved in crypto was a closet hobby due to the rampant scams tied to the name. It's great that to see a record of my activities for the past years just to reminisce how cringe some of my posts had been written.
A friend recommended me to try out the space because he heard I was planning to start blogging since the legacy chain. Ever since then I'm just exploring what "content" to share as I like to experiment and not be tied down to one style.
I'm just glad about seeing the results of these analytics. Some of the most viewed posts were published as far as 2021 and they retain at least a minute. I set some standards for myself whenever I do shitposting and outcomes where my posts get some viewership even years after they've been published is proof that I'm doing something right.
In a platform where a lot of shitposts get rewarded and deemed invisible as soon as post payout happens, I wonder if a fresh change of reward distribution could have some impact about the way people blog here.
I'm thinking about bloggers that mind simple SEO, or doing the small things that could generate more traffic on Hive from the outside. We are rewarding authors that don't mind earning Hive but never bothered advertising the platform they earn from. And some of these characters would have the audacity to ask for more when what they shitpost has any off value.
Doing personal blogs is something I want to do less because nobody really cares to about some anon online sharing their life.
It's the same thing as reputation numbers here, it just says it's high but it doesn't say one is providing the equivalent value back into the ecosystem. It ain't that hard to mention Hive on your profiles on other socmed.
But if I make a review about a show or manga, I can at least tap into an audience outside that has the same interests as I do. I don't earn anything from the extra views.
One pitfall about being a content creator on the platform is how limited one's content can be monetized. If you posted it once, you're window for earning is within 7 days from the votes yet sites like YouTube gives off a share of ad revenue even if the post was published years back. This part here makes the place not easy to market for content creators because they'll be at a loss if they posted on Hive.
I'm saying this to incentivize more creators to actually do their best if they know their posts would have long term consequences in terms of their passive income potential. The idea that what content they published in the passed can influence their passive income in the present to indefinite time can probably drive creators here to think about SEO or sharing their stuff off the platform more.
Yeah this sounded more like a rant post than a celebratory shitpost but I'd just glad about the analytics shown so far.
Thanks for your time.
