Birthday is one of the most special occasions we have in life. Celebrating it with loved ones is usually what all of us do. Some prefer not to celebrate it anymore because for them it's just passing by. Maybe I am one of them? Ahem!
Well, I will not share when exactly my birthday is but reminiscing about that day with my colleagues and students is what am gonna share with you for this blog then. Honestly, I am not fond of celebrating my birthday every year. It's not that I am insensitive to everything that is happening around me but I have this thought that I just wanna make it such a normal day. Except if my age had zero in it that's the time that I usually did the celebration with family, friends, and relatives.
It was a fine cold morning day when I went to school for work since it was a class day. The moment I arrived inside the faculty room, this cake was welcomed right before my eyes. I was shocked because one of my colleagues bought it for me. I was deeply touched by her being so thoughtful that she remembered my birthday.
It's time to make a wish and blow the candles. I never expect that somebody did this for me. For that, I am thankful for the warm gesture she had for me.
Celebrating it with good and true friends makes it worthwhile. I am an introverted person who chooses a friend I befriended before and a little bit until now. I already somehow adjust such an attitude in me then but not totally because I had a phobia way back then of a friend who betrayed me and it was a traumatic experience for me which is why from there I carefully choose my circle of friends.
Oh! Wait but there's more. One of my students approached me and made me blindfolded. I was a little bit puzzled about what was going on but I have in mind that this was related to my special day that day.
I see, it's their adviser who planned this. He is one of my close colleagues who was there working as well. Again it made my day even more special too! At first, I thought it was just an ordinary short program they have prepared because Sir Rhodz is good at it. Never in my wildest imagination, they will do the next scenes that happened that day then.
Here's what happened. Sir Rhodz was the first one who broke an egg by crashing it through my thigh. I was shocked because oh no I didn't bring any extra clothing that day. What should I do? Until another student did that but that time through my head. Ouch! It hurts and what could I do it's just all out of fun guys. They were all laughing at me then.
After such a very unexpected scene, I did have a photo opportunity with them. Never mind the mess they have done in me, I still appreciated their efforts that much.
Indeed, the bond that I have had with Sir Rhodz's advisory class was one of a kind. Although I am just their Physics Teacher at that time the love they had for me was evident through their actions. And for that, I am forever grateful for having them once in my life.
That's all for my today's blog dear hiveians! Thank you so much for the time you took in reading this. Until next time, see you around then. Stay safe and God bless everyone.
