Have a wonderful and blissful day Hivers! I hope you have. Let’s start our day with a smile 😊 and a blog. Hahaha!
After heavy workloads as the call of work specifically for the last month since it's the school ender month, teachers' life has always been busy as bees, buzzing with a pile of paperwork. It has always been a cycle being repeated every year that a teacher can never skip. The never-ending checking of test papers and outputs, computing of grades, writing and checking of forms, reprinting of forms, re-checking the reprinted ones, and finalizing – all of these things are just typical for teachers. Right, teacher Hivers? Hehehe!
For sure, they would agree with me. Hehehe! But despite all the hardships, it's our passion that keeps us burning to continue giving our service to our learners, just to learn. For me, it's always the learner's success that can suffice all my efforts and…travel!
To recharge my drained energy into full strength, my partner and I decided to go to Camotes Island again.
We went to Camotes last July 8-9 two weeks before Hive was introduced to me.
(P.S. I regretted deleting most of our travel photos taken while heading to Camotes in San Francisco-Himensulan at Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort the neighboring resort of Mangodlong Rock Beach due to the storage capacity full, but I have still some left to be shown. I hope it would do. Hehehe! Who would have thought that I will become part of this community? So I can save it.)
How to get there?
Since we are just living in Compostela, it's quite fast for us to arrive at Danao Port. It took 20 minutes of travel time. We rode a private vehicle then, the one that we borrowed from my husband's parents, and stopped at Sands Gateway Mall. If you are a commuter, no need to worry because there are many buses routing to Danao Port just tell the driver or the baker that, that would be your destination. After we arrived, first, we hurriedly went to Danao Ferry's ticketing booth inside the Sands Gateway Mall.
If you are unfamiliar with the place due to the many stalls inside you can ask the guards to guide you where. The regular fare per adult is 220 PHP (~4 USD) for the economy and 250 PHP (~5 USD) for the airconditioned. To those taking private vehicles with them, you may settle the payment in the ticketing booth too. If I was not mistaken for the car, as far as I remembered it was 1200 per way. Next, we went inside the Danao Port terminal itself which is beside the ticketing booth to pay 5PHP for the terminal fee. We barged in together with the number of passengers waiting to board.
Reminder, always bring your tickets with you because the ferry crew always checks them before you can get in. Lastly, we are on board. The sea breeze feels so relaxing and therapeutic. The sea waves are so beautiful to watch as it dances gracefully every second the ship passed by. Until such time I fell asleep. My partner woke me up after almost 3 hours of boarding and the busy port of Camotes welcomed us.
Now, let’s proceed to our destination-the Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort. From Camotes Port heading to Mangadlong Paradise Beach Resort was less than 30 minutes of travel time. By the way, we booked this online and gave a 25% downpayment for less hassle. What’s In at Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort for the 2-day unwinding?
The resort is so extraordinary, a perfect and exclusive place for healing wounded mind and soul. We escaped the hustle and bustle of the city for a couple of days. It is very spacious, tidy, and well-maintained as well as the Bermuda grass that adds beauty to the whole place. Abundant, tall, and full of life coconut trees are also present adding to the lovely and serene view of the resort. It’s truly a paradise for us.
(Flexing our photo with the productive mother of the Province of Cebu on my right side. We couldn’t contain our happiness during this time that’s why I approached her if we can since she was about to leave the resort. And she said yes! Hehehe! It was a success. One hour after we checked in, that’s the time that they were about to check out. Thanks Governor)
We chose that standard room for our two days and one-night accommodation which cost PHP 3300 net good for two with 2 breakfasts. The room is aesthetically pleasing and clean. Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort facilities and services that we enjoyed are as follows, restaurant. The Bamboo Café offered and served a variety of menus and delicious food and drinks that made us utter words of delight. It was a haven that we wouldn't need more. The waiters were so nice, cheerful, and hospitable.
Billiard Pool Table. It was found inside the Bamboo Café. After fueled up with their tasty food, we also grabbed the chance to play billiards to lighten up the feeling. The moments that we shared are important to deepen our bond as a family. It is hallowed and irreplaceable.
Infinity Pool. It’s a picture-perfect view. It’s so nice and clean. We enjoyed our late afternoon snacks while having chit-chat about our future together. When dusk was approaching, we quickly stepped out from the pool and move to the beach.
Mangodlong Paradise Beach. It is located in front of the infinity pool and sunset bar. We continued our unwinding opportunity to restore the pandemonium that bothered us since the place is exclusive and peaceful. Indeed, a beautiful craft to relax. It was the swimming that my partner enjoyed the most and I just enjoyed the waves hitting back and forth on my body along the shoreline since I didn't know how to swim. Hahaha! And the wait is over, here it comes… the sunset.
Watching the sunset in touch with reality is a revitalizing and dramatic feeling. It’s a reminder that ”When life gets tougher, take a deep breath – inhale and exhale. Smile, be grateful, reconcile your inner peace, and start something brand new with a great feeling of tranquility and serenity. Life is precious and therefore, we must go on.”
Let me leave you with this realization during this trip: Spending your hard-earned money sometimes in a lavish way for the unwinding trip is not a loss but a treasure. You can reap memories that can't be taken away from you than spending buying expensive things that can't even last a lifetime.
That’s all for my blog today. My sincerest thanks for taking the time to read and support my blog, until next time. See you!
XOXO ~
