– Thornton Wilder
Sentimentality, are very often regarded as a weakness, as it equate to being vulnerable. When you pause a little slower, take a lot of pictures, and can bought your tears down by almost anything— you are then put into a box labelled as too emotional and too sentimental for your own good.
Greetings dearest hivers, I know this place is packed with sentimental people, and I myself am one. I love to dilly-dally my way through life. I hold boxes of long cherished memories—the letters my friends gave, a flower from a distant place, a note, a bracelet; everything that is special for me and I'll hold them forever if I can.
It's beautiful how we care for all of this soft things in our life that doesn't need grand attention. It's wise to linger a little longer in savoring simple days of happiness and cheer. Don't ever let anybody tells you it's irrelevant, because the big things passed unto us fleetingly and rarely by, it's the small things that stays with us. Etched their way into our beings and ultimately become us.
It's the calm moments when we take to sip our morning coffee under the glowing sunlight,
it's the laughter we shared over foods with our precious friends,
the dinner with our family, the evening walk;
all this mundane stuff that we often take for granted are what matters most because these are what our life is made up with— soft and fleeting.
So my dearest hivers, may we always find reason to love the minutest things in our existence. May we continue to cherish all of life by being who we are, a little too sentimental for our own good.
Anniestly Yours
