I once thought that I have known Bago City at Negros Occidental very well since I have been there countless times for years. Yet, from what happened during this day, it's beyond what I have in mind and there's a lot more places and things there that's yet to be discovered by my own eyes.
The mother of Sir Huntersmoon's student have passed away. He was informed about it and felt that he had to deliver his deepest condolences to the family personally, and to also visit his hometown. On the other hand, I didn't kmow the people related but I tagged along because I haven't gone to the place yet.
The mass had already started as we arrived at the place and actually it was halfway through it. We made ourselves comfortable at the back, trying not to get too much attention from everyone inside the church as the mass was still ongoing. After a few minutes, it was done and people help to transfer the coffin inside the van to deliver it in her last destination.
Rain showers as we walk as if the sky mourns also for the loss of a family, but looking at the other side of the road, I can see Mt. Canlaon at the distance. Showing off its beautiful landscape, which somehow eases the gloomy atmosphere that the current situation was giving me.
It was about evening when we got back to the city proper. Such a good timing as we have seen the golden sunset which often attracts people to this park every afternoon. It was a majestic view even though a huge cloud covers it later on, until it finally disappeared. The cool breeze from the sea in the salty air will make you fall into its grasps. No wonder people here likes to stay until evening, they were drawn to it.
We were supposed to have a snack and halo-halo but it was already late, and decided to have dinner instead. For the three of us, we ordered a serve of Baby Backribs and assorted seafoods (contains clams, shrimps, and crabs). Without a doubt, we were that hungry. We have feasted on the food served in front of us before I could snap a decent photo of them. But hey, more important is that we're full after that and had fun that day.
Sir have posted about this also when he had "A leisurely walk at Bantayan Park, Bago City." Since we were together that day, I'll post my version, too. Truly, it was worth to remember. I got to a new place that I have never been before, meet some acquaintances, and dine in the park which is rare to happen to me now for my hectic schedule.
It's nice to go out sometimes and see new things. Blend in the crowd, and feel that you're not the only soul living in this world. There are lots of places to explore and more people to meet. Even though, I don't know the family who had lost a member, I feel sorry for them, especially when I heard their cries from the church to the cemetery. They were thankful for our presence, but it was the roller coaster of emotions for me that I had experienced that day. At least, I can still that I'm human and still know how to empathize with people.
