Hello Hive!
Last week, was my first day of class in the second semester last week and fully face-to-face. After 2 years of online classes finally this semester, we have a full face to face and we have room for different subjects. I am currently 3rd-year college and I am taking a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. So I share with you what I experienced and what we did on the first day of class. So 4 am I woke up in the morning to pray and read Bible then I prepared myself to go to school and prepare what I brought to school. I brought my laptop, pen, umbrella, notebook, mouse, mechanical keyboard, and water tumbler.
I rode a tricycle from Malaban to Plaza Rizal then Plaza Rizal to PUP Binan the old terminal is better than now because it is near in wet market but now the terminal to my school is near Ken Mart and I walked too far. The fare from Malaban to Plaza Rizal is 15 pesos or $0.30 and from Plaza Rizal to PUP Binan is 20 pesos or $0.40. The challenge that I faced was I wait 30 minutes in a tricycle because it is hard to find passengers to go to it is either City Hall or PUP Binan. I am easily bored when I wait in the terminal but I don’t have a choice but to persevere because it is the only way to go to my school and convenient. And if I rode a jeep to Pavillion Mall and then rode a tricycle to my school it is expensive I think the fare is 27 pesos or $0.54.
Our first subject was IT Elective 2 and our professor instructed us to download Joomla at first we download Joomla 2.5 version but it didn’t work on our PC. So we download the zip file of Joomla 4.2.9 and it works. After downloading Joomla we unzip the files and put in xampp folder then in htdocs the picture shows how we extract files.
This was an installer and today we set up a site name to complete the installing the Joomla. Joomla is an open-source content management system publishing web content on websites.
This was a picture of a default website and since I forgot my username I have no choice but to re-install Joomla to be able to login into sites by the way, thank you to my classmates who helped us to set up this.
After class, we decided to eat outside the campus and I chose 7/11 and I bought 2 Siopao Bola bola flavors sorry I forgot to take a pic hehe. After lunch, we decided to sit in our kiosks, and by the way, I am far from our classmates because I am too shy to communicate but in my next school blog I will post my other classmates and hopefully I build my relationship with them. That’s all thank you.
