A happy day to everyone! I hope all is well as you read my blog.
It was a very fine day last week when we went to the City of Naga School of Science and the Arts or CNISTICA for their family day. We were invited by the School head to sell food and snacks for the event.
Very early we travel to the venue and it takes 15 minutes to travel going there. It must have been a busy day with lots of parents and students already at the school when we arrived. It's great to see a community coming together for events like these. It sounds like we were very proactive upon arriving at the school. Setting up our display quickly was a smart move to ensure that everything was ready for the event.
Displaying snacks
The food that we sold was french fries and lemonade. You can buy fries alone worth twenty pesos or lemonade alone with flavors to choose either blue or cucumber lemonade worth 25 pesos. We're offering a combo set that includes a serving of french fries and a glass of refreshing lemonade for only thirty-five pesos only.

We also offered siomai with hanging rice, siopao, sodas, and bottled water.
As the sun was up students kept on coming to buy the combo set. There are also solo orders but most of the customers choose the combo set. And because of so much business, I forgot to take the picture of lined students in our mini booth.
The family day program started with a mass and then Christmas jingles where students serenade Christmas songs with choreography. There are also raffles and games with prizes.

Before lunch time all our products were sold out already, so I decided to call my husband to buy them at the market and bring them to the venue. During lunch time every booth had its food, and some had catered food.
After lunch the program continues, and there are a lot of games for both parents and students. There are also different presentations from the students. Everyone seems to enjoy the day as fellow parents also creating new friendships with one another. The snacks that we sell also continue as my husband comes bringing newly purchased fries to be sold.

Before the event was done the school conducted a Bingo game for everyone with a grand prize of Washing machine. It was already 3:00 pm and we decided to go home even if the program was still going on. We have a church service by 6:00 pm and we have to prepare the church for the service.
It was indeed a big help to us as we counted our sales and we reached the unexpected sales. We give something to the school as a token of appreciation and to my working students as well as their wages. We went home happy witnessing the bond between the students to their parents and parents to the school and as a bridge to provide simple snacks to everyone.
Family day is very important, and even on our busiest day, we spend time together to strengthen our relationship.
I hope you enjoy the time reading my story today. Have a wonderful week everyone.
