Yesterday, my brother's rice field in front of our house was harvested with my uncle's harvester. Even though it still rained in the morning, it was a good thing because it didn't get any worse, the weather warmed up, and the gray clouds disappeared.
I could hear the harvester from afar; they began from afar, and I could barely see it. Also, because everything was not yet very yellow and the price of rice was dropping again, my brother decided to harvest it anyway so that he could still get eighteen per kilo of rice, which had dropped by two pesos.
I and my son were just hanging out on the chair my husband was building outside the house, which wasn't finished yet. π He was curious about the sound and watched it as well. I enjoy sitting here because the wind is so strong and the four trees provide shade, making it cool.
Look at how really nice the weather is; it's very hot at the moment. Many birds perched on electrical wires.
There's a lot of birds flying.π
They finish first on the other side of my brother's rice field, before the embankment near the path leading to my siblings' homes. My uncle, who owns the harvester, also came to the house, I made him sit on the chair to rest because it was to hot. and We talked a lot, He mentioned that they had previously lived here and that he was born here and etc.
My brother who owns the field also came here and my husband came out and offered coffee, which was all we had at that time. The three of them sipped their coffee and talked. π
My uncle, my father's cousin, is the number one SB member in our town, but this time it's not because he's old; his daughter took his place as an SB member, and she also won. That's why I'm hesitant to speak with him, but he was always so nice to us as kids when he visited. It's been a long time, and he's only returned because of the harvester.
The harvester is near the house and my baby is happy to see this.
When someone harvest rice, many men come to pick it up because it means money, so it's not just the owner who is happy. Hehe, there is a few each time the rice is picked up and transported to the top of the land. My youngest brother is among the men who line up to pick up the rice. The owner will pay them once they finish this.
The harvester is very close to us, and my son is not scared or crying. He was just watching.
It's my first experience seeing a harvester harvest rice up close. I've seen it before, but from a distance, and I can only imagine how the harvester looks because I've seen it in videos. Hehe.
It's great to have a harvester because it makes things easier now. Unlike before, rice is harvested using a reap tools and thresher. The owner no longer has to worry about rain hitting the rice that hasn't been threshed in a long time.
My brother harvested sixty sacks of rice from his field. And he only received fourteen sacks because he deducted all of his planting expenses and payments, such as the the rice plow, tractors, fertilizers, pesticides, and the harvester. Then they divided it with the owner of the land.
That's all for today, I just want to say Thankyou for your unwavering support of my post. I really appreciate it, see you on my next blog again. Peace and love. π«Άπ»
