"The most important day of the year to say 'I love you' is every day, not just on Valentine's Day. In marriage never take the other person for granted. Expressing your love shows your appreciation for the person."— Catherine Pulsifer
Valentine’s is an occasion celebrated to express love and affection to lovers, relatives, and friends. It is not only the day to share our love but to let those whom we love know how much we love and appreciate them.
Hello, dear Hivers! how are? It’s me again your friend who would like to share how we celebrated our Valentine’s with family. When I got married, I never experienced receiving a bouquet, chocolate, or any gift from my hubby on valentine’s day. It’s not also his usual act since he is not used to it. He is not showy in expressing his love and cares to someone he loves. Besides, I do not need something from him on special occasions because I always reminded him to minimize the expenses of not-so-important things like flowers on a special occasion. Especially nowadays when prices of commodities are getting higher and higher every day. For me, it’s a waste of money. Anyway, I know that his love for me is authentic and pure. I’m already contented with the love and care he showed to us and most of all for being a good provider and a responsible husband and father too.
Even a wedding ring we don't have right now. Since, during our wedding, we only used the fake one so it can’t be worn for a long time because it tarnishes and it's already damaged. But that's not important it's only a symbol. What matters are love, care, loyalty, and respect for each other. So last Valentine's I insisted instead of giving something for me and my kids why not have dinner with the whole family? In such a way the kids could feel the moment of the celebration and inculcate in their minds that Valentine's is for everybody.
Sometimes, after work and having fetched our kids from school we decided to have our dinner outside before going home since we usually arrived home by almost 7:00 in the evening. So, it was already very late when we prepared our meal for Supper at home. So, eating outside was our usual thing to do. One of the restaurants we usually visited was LOLOBHEL FOODPLACE. This is located near Bogo City Plaza. They sold barbecues/grilled meat, fish, chicken, and chicken's internal parts and various menus. That's why when we had our plan to have our meal together, especially in the event we usually visited this barbecue grill and restaurant. Their food attendant cooked barbecue quickly since they have a big and wide grilling stand.
Last February 14 or Valentine's Day, we celebrated the special Day with the whole family. We had our dinner at LOLOBHEL FOODPLACE. We ordered barbecues like tuna Panga my favorite, chicken, pork, and a lot more. For our soup, we ordered batchoy and we asked for puchero soup also because my kids like it. After eating, my kids ordered some ice cream. We had our delicious and satisfying meal.
Aside from the food we ordered, varied menus were offered. They also have meal packages like value meals, budget meals, and lechon belly for dine-in and order. Aside from those services offered they also accept catering services for any occasion. So, if you have planned to avail any of those services, I will recommend this food place.
We celebrated Valentine's simply but for me, and my kids that was already meaningful and memorable. Our celebration reminds them of the value of having a complete family whose love and care are always present.
That's all for this blog. Thank you for reading and have a nice day!
