Following proclamation no.110 series 1963 entitled declaring June 12 as the Philippine Independence Day, DepEd joins or participates in the 125 commemorations of Philippine Independence with a theme Kalayaan, Kinabukasan Kasayasayan. This is done to commemorate the heroism, patriotism, nationalism, and self-sacrifice of our forefathers. In order also to instill in the heart and minds of the youth and Filipino citizens the greatness of our heroes and nationhood, and to remind everyone of us of the importance of unity, strength, and cooperation in a challenging time. As part of the DepEd family, we initiated our learners some activities as part of the celebration. Our learners crafted a Philippine Flag and displayed this in front of our classroom. We even encouraged to display the Philippine flag in our classroom, home and business offices from May 15 to June 30.
June 12 was the day declared Independence Day and it was declared as a holiday. So, even if it was a holiday, me and my husband reported to the school to participate in the simultaneous flag-raising ceremony and conduct a short program. SSG organization selected students and teachers performed a dance showing the love of ones country and how we achieved independence and freedom.
After the event, my husband and I decided to visit the Capelinha de Fatima Replica in Tacup, San Remigio, Cebu. We've been planning to visit the holy place so many times but we failed to do it for some reasons. So on this Holiday, we pursued what we had planned.
How We Get There
From Ilihan, we traveled to San Antonio, Bogo City, and then turn right. We traverse a long winding road until we arrived at Capelinha de Fatima. It was our second visit. There were a lot of changes in the holy place compared to our first visit. Capelinha the Fatima Replica in San Rwmigio was one of the four replicas outside Portugal and the first Replica in Asia. Every 13th of the month the holy rosary and holy mass will serve. Many devotees visit this place and light candles. Candles symbolize that Jesus Christ is with us and he gives light to the whole world. So by lighting a candle we pray, thank him, and ask a favor of something and healing with the guidance of the blessed Lady of Fatima, the holy saint.
After attending mass, we rushed home since it was the birthday of our youngest brother. He was born on June 12 so every Independence Day is also his birthday. My mother prepared a simple dish for our get-together lunch and a cake with candles to blow. I wished him good health more blessings and happiness in life. I am also asking a favor from our heavenly father to grant all my brother's heart's desires and wishes.
Even though we had a simple celebration and preparation, we all enjoyed the food and had full stomachs with our lunch.
In the afternoon I accompanied my husband in his NUGA session. After he was diagnosed with a kidney stone and the doctor told us to prepare more or less 250 thousand pesos or $4,464, we kept on looking for alternative ways hoping that his stone will dissolve even though the doctor told us that his kidney stone will no longer dissolve anymore. That amount is too big, so, we must not lose hope, I let my husband use herbal medicine and he tried the Nuga Best Session. This was introduced by my co-teacher who was healed because of Nuga Best. I also heard a lot of testimonies from other patients who had tried also. It was already on the 5th session of my husband and he liked much about it After a month of his session we will now undergo a CT Scan to check again his kidney stone. I pray that God will give my husband a miracle. I still believed in miracles if we asked him heartily.
