Hi Hive! #hiveph. #philippines. This is my first blog aside from my Intro blog. I posted my intro blog last year @fixyetbroken/life-of-an-ordinary-girl-or-my-introblog if you have time, you can revisit my intro blog, because of some circumstances I stopped blogging, but now that circumstances ended, I hope you will support me as I share my past and new adventure through writing. Thank you.
I was 16 when I first traveled alone without my family. It was one of the events of my church. I traveled to Argao, Cebu Philippines. I had mixed emotions during that time. I felt afraid because no one knew who I was. How I behave and do my daily activities.
I felt happy because it was my first time traveling far from our town and felt excited to meet new people aside from the people in our town.
Before I traveled, I was a very introverted person, a shy little girl who didn’t know how to act in a gathering, but during my travel, I learned how to socialize with people because, at that event, you will meet different youths all over Cebu.
We were grouped into four and fostered by one of the families in Argao, Cebu Philippines.
We were accepted heartily by the family in Argao. The Mier family treated us as one of the members of the family. We ate together and went to a place in Argao.
The photos on my blog are not as good quality as nowadays because it was taken with a digital camera last 2011 but the happiness of the face in the photo was very evident that life is still enjoyable even in simple things.
I explored together with my groupmates and foster family in the Nature Park of Argao.
I tried zip lining, which was the first truly daring thing I did in my sixteen years of life. It was very nerve-racking, yet you felt fulfillment after the activity. Through ziplining, I learned I dared to do things alone.
Overall, my first travel was a very satisfying one. Lots of new experiences and mixed emotions. Because of my first travel, I was motivated to travel more and to have additional adventures in my ordinary life.
