Get to know me - a crypto househusband journey
Hello everyone! I'm a Hive newbie and let me introduce myself.
I’m Joey, the guy behind the username ‘gapingwithjoey’.
Maybe you are wondering why I chose that username. It really refers to the time spent when I’m done with my work. I spend time thinking about the possibilities, and what I can do to make things better, not only for myself but also for my family.
I started to know cryptocurrency when Bitcoin was worth $500 that time, year 2017. A friend of mine, introduced me to the possibility of earning some amount of BTC by doing tasks. Like encoding captchas. How did you know about cryptocurrency, by the way? Did you, like me, start with small tasks to earn your first digital assets?
Since then, I started collecting different cryptocurrencies, saving them to different wallets and exchange sites. I never thought that time that bitcoin would increase its value.
When I earn satoshi, the smallest denomination of Bitcoin, I trade or exchange it already to fiat. That way, I can use it for my family's daily expenses. Not that much but it’s a big help, especially when you have kids who are going to school and a house rental to pay.
Today, I’m still gaping. I sometimes think about the why and what ifs, of not saving some of my earnings in Bitcoin. It would have helped my family a lot since now that I’m just a stay-at-home person, taking care of them.
Househusband, it may sound like my today’s status, but still, I’m into cryptocurrency. It has been my daily life, aside from cooking, which I love the most. I love cooking for my family. I usually stick to Ilocano dishes, but I also enjoy experimenting with recipes. The kitchen is my happy place. It’s a simple joy to see my family enjoy the dishes I prepare.
Besides earning some cryptocurrencies through airdrops, I enjoy playing games related to crypto, exploring other sites related to crypto and trading from time to time. It brings excitement to my day and makes crypto more playful.
