Hi Hive Family,
Last Thursday, March 26, my son graduated from Marian School of Quezon City, and I am so proud of him! Finally, after ten long years, I see a real achievement. And it feels like a big reward. For my investment in his future, and for every sacrifice I made while working abroad. It hasn't been an easy road. I left him when he was just six months old to work abroad. And now? Here he is – on stage, holding his high school diploma at his moving-up ceremony. That moment made everything worth it.
He finished grade 10 now, and there are six more years to go (grade 11 and 12 plus 4 years in college), but I am so positive that I (and that he) can do it, even if I am raising him on my own.
I chose this private school because I believed that my child will get enough guidance there while I am away. But it's also very expensive for me. Since I quit my job in Hong Kong, I'm not sure if I can still afford this school. I am even considering letting him go to school in Maragusan, where my parents and the rest of my family live... But those are thoughts for another day. For now, I just want to be happy – and proud – about his success.
Thank you all for your support, I wish everybody a wonderful week!
