I have always heard of the saying : “Nothing else is permanent in this world but change.” I certainly agree to that, change is the only constant in this world and it is really inevitable.
We had our send-off and welcome party to our new school principal of Tuburan National Hifh School. The school head of Tuburan National High School will be moving to a school nearer to his residency meanwhile we will be having a new school principal.
The program started at exactly 12:00noon, the prayer before lunch was lead by our guidance designate. Each year level prepared their own foods.
The first man in the photo is our previous Senior High School coordinator who is promoted to be a school head in a different school still here within the district of Tuburan I. The man in the middle is our new school head and the last man in the photo is our previous school head who will be transferred to a different station.
I got hired in the Department Of Education last August 19,2024 which is approximately five months still and I do not have much to say about them as leaders because I have not known them for a long time. But as for my stay, both of them are great leaders and they were always there to guide us along the way especially us the new hires. But that is just how life is, nothing in this world is permanent but change.
Per grade level, we all prepared our own foods, for us, Grade 12 we had packed lunch and some fruits, watermelon and banana.
After having our lunch, the program properly started. This was held at our makeshift building in our school here in Tuburan National High School, Tuburan, Cebu, Philippines.
To begin with, one of the master teachers in our school, gave her inspirational message.
She highlighted all the good things our previous school head has done for us and or institution and that we are looking forward to still have the same camaraderie with our new school head.
Next in line was an intermission number from Grade 7 and Grade 8, they sang a song for our outgoing school head offering their gratefulness and thanks to him as he was with our school for the last three years.
The grades 7 and 8 teachers had so much fun in their intermission number, they even made our outgoing school head stand and sing along with them. It is heartwarming to see that he gets to bond with us before he transfers to a different station.
After their intermission number, they gave out their token as a sign of appreciation to the outgoing school head and senior high school coordinator.
Next in line for the intermission number were the teachers from grades 9 and 10, which also offered a song number.
All grade levels got the chance to sing a song for them. We also had our turn to sing but I did not have any photos of us.
Here is a photo of me and my friends, my co-teachers as we are sitting at the back having our own little world.
Let’s all admit it, we all have our work friends whom we always find comfort and ease to be with. As for me, they are the people I consider my friends at work. They make my work more bearable and fun.
Here is a photo of the turn-over by our previous school head and the acceptance of our new school head.
The entire program was indeed bittersweet. It was a day to remember all the good days our school head had with our institution and we are hoping for a good leadership from our new school head also.
As for us, teachers, no matter who our school head may be, one thing is for sure. We will continue to be the best teachers we possible can to help shape the future of this young generation and we will always be following the lead of whoever is in charge. We will always work hand in hand for the betterment of our institution, Tuburan National High School.
To end the program, we had a picture taking per grade level, and here is a photo of me and my colleagues who are all from the GRADE 12 department. Photo credits to my colleague.
To greener pastures ahead! Ciao!♡
