HivePH is a group of Filipino bloggers and crypto-enthusiasts with the mission of helping others become successful here on the #Hive platform. The weekly blogging contest is one of the ways we aim to do this.
For the first week of October, the theme we have chosen is:
1st Week: Daily Expense Tracking
One can never be too young nor too old to be more mindful about our spending habits. This is, after all, one that we will carry with us throughout our life and will have an impact on our family and other people around us. This also comes in handy when one begins life as a fresh graduate just beginning to explore the world of adulting and financial matters. The skills we develop in our personal finances is something that we can use in our professional life as well as business.

1. Getting My Finances Back on Track
Mula kay:

My Google Sheets expense tracker indicates that I already spent a lot of money on food this first week of October. That value already serves as a reminder that I need to keep food spending to a minimum. Oh, I really hope I can. Life is food!
2. HivePH: Budget Tracking, Backstory, and Financial Literacy
Mula kay:

At my age, I am still dependent on my parents, so I don’t spend a lot of my money on food, house essentials, etc. However, I am challenging myself to be financially independent by not asking for money from my parents. Basically, I spend my money buying the things that I need and want.
And, the winner is:
Congratulations! Keeping track of expenses isn't easy, but with the help of technology, this is easier now than how people do it before. The increasing number of dapps that we can use to help us in our financial life has made it really easy to go on this journey of financial literacy and we hope that more people become aware of it.
There were only two entries to this week's HivePH contest, which might also be a reflection of how Filipinos really view financial literacy and something that we can immensely improve upon, but all is not lost since we still have three more weeks of blogging contests for the month of October.
For the 2nd week, the topic is Making an Important Financial Decision. Please use the hashtags #financial-literacy and #financial-education for the weekly October blogging contest. Thanks.
