Hello to everyone here on HIVE! We at Hive PH are a group of Filipino bloggers passionate about helping to onboard and encourage people to succeed here on the blockchain. The weekly blogging contest is one of the ways we do this.
September brings with it a plethora of meanings and emotions; to each his, or her, own. This month in particular puts us in the middle of typhoon season here in the Philippines, but it also brings out a Filipino tradition that warms the heart, especially children: the start of the Yuletide season. This week's theme brought in contrasting subject matters and emotions. The topics are very personal, for sure, but it is also a way for us to express and to eventually move on.
So, without further ado,

1. Wake Me Up to A Meaningful Life
Mula kay:

Sometimes we get so busy, so caught up with adulting and the responsibilities that goes with it that we forget to appreciate and sometimes take for granted the what really mattera in life. Such questions in my mind popped up as this yearend is approaching...
Have I shown my family especially children how much I love them?
Have I visited my parents enough for them not to feel ignored and abandoned
Did I love myself enough?
Did I made the right decisions?
Did I,
Have I?
If the answers of these questions are YES then I can say I'll be welcoming the new year without regrets but if NO then I stil have time to fix it and make things work. Time wasted will never be taken back so we must make use of our time to live life to the fullest.
Wake me up when September ends for me means reevaluating my self and how I live my life so I won't have regrets in the end.
2. Wake Me Up When the Pain is Finally Gone
Mula kay:

The process of moving on is not easy. But I did it. In the end I learn something on that experience, I learn something from him.
"Wake me up when September ends" to me is "Wake me up, when the pain is already gone." Meaning, You already move on and you finally let it go. You are ready to finally face the world again. With the new you and with a happy heart.
3. The Calm Before the Storm
Mula kay:

I suddenly felt the afternoon rays of the sun passing through my window. I woke up from a short nap. It made it clear that it's just all in mind. But nevertheless, I felt it, and it's like surreal. I can relate because that's how I am, and I am always trying my best to overcome every debacle while developing my best potential and becoming someone I envisioned myself. You, too, can do it as well.
Overall, the song "wake me up when September ends" means that challenges may come next as the calm state ends, and they are natural. So be ready and focus. Anyway, just like the problems that came before the current one, this too shall pass because the Man from above will always be here. There's always an option, though, but choose what's best in every scenario.
4. Rest Until You're Strong Enough
Mula kay:

Speaking based on my recent experience, "wake me up when September ends" can also be translated to "wake me up when I am fully recovered" or "rest until I am strong enough to face the present situation." Resting doesn’t mean you’re going backward. Sometimes, taking a break is necessary and also part of the process. We can compare it to sore muscles after working out, where true recovery and formation only happen during the rest, while continuous workouts without taking a break would result in muscle damage and injuries. We might see it as unproductive in the short term but if we look at the longer time frame, we are giving ourselves a favor; to go back stronger and well prepared.
5. Wishing My Dreams To Never End
Mula kay:

Ever since then the song found a special spot inside me. And if you ask me what the line, wake me up when September ends meant to me? To me, it means you are done running away from all the hurt and trauma you have encountered. You realized that the memories will probably stick to you but you have no choice but to move forward and keep going.
Let's remind ourselves na okay lang maging malungkot from time to time. Okay lang masaktan dahil parte yon ng mga buhay natin. Ang hindi okay e ikulong natin yung sarili natin sa isang ala-ala na wala na tayong paraan para balikan pa.
6. If You Sit With Sadness for a Long Time
Mula kay:

Loneliness can hide in ever corner, even the most unexpected place. This is why it is important to be fully aware of your emotions and situation. Taking a time off to reflect about where you are standing at the moment will never be a waste of time. It's a way of taking good care of yourself.
After you recognize the things that are causing your sadness, learn something from it. Turn these into something from which you can mold yourself to become a better person.
AND, THE WINNER IS:
