Hello there, my lovely Hivers. For Today,'s blog, I am thrilled to share with you our visit to Caduawan Cemetery.
We went to cemetery with my dad’s sibling, who we don’t get to spend time with often. We used my dad’s pickup , and since it was All Souls’ Day, we brought a lot of food because they decided after we go to the cemetery we will go to beach. The family of my dad's sibling always makes sure to bring plenty of foods whenever we go out.
First Stop: Caduawan Cemetery
Our first stop was the Caduawan Cemetery, which is in Tabogon. It’s not far from our barangay and is near at school.
When we got there, there were many people , cars and motorcycles everywhere.
Before entering the cemetery, we saw vendors selling flowers and candles. They said these might not be available inside, so we bought two flowers for ₱250 each one for my dad’s mom and one for my sister, Maria.
Walking to the Cemetery
It was very hot, and I regretted not bringing an umbrella. I just endured the heat.
My dad’s sister-in-law and her cousin were walking in front of us. The view on the way to the cemetery was nice, with green you can see in the picture .
The path to the cemetery was crowded with cars and motorcycles, so we had to step aside. I also saw many people I knew and greeted them. My mom noticed and joked to my sister that “Look at your younger sibling they keep saying hi to everyone, while you don’t greet anyone.
Visiting My Sister’s Tomb
We came to visit my sister’s tomb. She passed away as a baby when my mom had a miscarriage.
The cemetery was clean, but we got a bit lost finding her tomb. I was sure of the location and it turned out to be I am right.
We cleaned the tomb since it was a little dirty. Even though we don’t visit often, we want to show our love . The flowers we brought were white and looked so pretty. My brother helped me clean the area.
While waiting for our parents , I admired the view of the mountains. It was beautiful, with a lot of grass.
Visiting Other Family Tombs
After lighting candles and praying for my sister, we visited my grandmother’s tomb. My mom and her siblings were already done praying when we got there.
Heading Back Home
As we walked back to the car, I told my brother to take a photo of me because the view was amazing, and it matched my outfit perfectly. The road that you can see at my back is a place called “Little Batanes,” which has stunning views.
Before leaving, my siblings and I took a selfie to remember the day. The cemetery was still full of people coming to visit their loved ones.
