We arrived at Solea early in the morning, traveling from the city on their private bus. Upon arrival, we were given free colored shirts and grouped up with our teams wearing the same color. I was with the yellow team along with one of my co-interns. It was fun getting to know people from different companies and learning about their roles. We shared our ideas in making a chant for our group and enjoyed the morning games that tested our cooperation and teamwork, like hula hoop pass, human knot, egg hunt, and many more. We also had free lunch , and since we ranked third in our morning games so our team was third in line.
In the afternoon, we were lucky as most of our company's staff and three of us interns won a raffle. I received a gift certificate worth five hundred pesos, which I will be redeeming soon at the Metro Colon, and two of my co-interns received sacks of rice.
After the raffle, all of us dipped our palms in the paint bucket and pressed them on the big banner. It was a fun experience, symbolizing our unity and teamwork.
The last activity was the cheer dance competition. It was so much fun, as there were comic performances. We all laughed a lot and enjoyed it. Every team received a prize and was awarded their deserving rank.
It was around 4 pm when the team building ended, and the remaining time was for our leisure. Some went swimming at the beach or pool, while others drank beers and just relaxed, since we were told that the departure time was 6 pm. We had planned to go swimming and even brought our swimwear, but decided instead to roam around the place, chill, talk, and take pictures.
The Solea has a big space; when I say it's big, I mean it's really big. They even have a large swimming pool which I absolutely love, and a giant outdoor chess board.
It was a fun Sunday with the team. Spending time with my friends and meeting new people made it an unforgettable experience. Despite one of us getting drunk, we all made it home safely.
Our team building was themed around the song "Dreamers" by BTS's Jungkook, and it really stuck in my mind long after I went home. We truly dreamed, dared, and delivered, and we'll continue to do great with the learnings we acquired from the team-building experience.
