A couple of days ago, my younger brother - Belli - I think he's 29 yrs old if I'm not mistaken but who's keeping track when you're on your way to 30, right?, got married to the love of his life - Vicky. This was already expected when they adopted a handsome German Shepherd named Goku as their firstborn after 3 or 5 years into their relationship. Honestly, I don't know. I don't keep tabs on my younger brother as we had a rocky relationship growing up.
But despite the love & hate relationship I have with my brother, from the core of my being, I love him the most. Something I recently learned from the spiritual realm is that - the most difficult person who we grew up with or those people who were the hardest to love are the ones who love us the most for they chose even before birth to teach us the hardest lessons in this life. So yeah, I guess we both love each other the most because we were such a pain in the ass to each other growing up.
Moving on to the wedding. . . I was so grateful that I didn't have a role as I feel I'm too old to be doing such. Perhaps the next role I'll be portraying is the bride but that's not a priority, a want, or a need in my life right now. 😂 Too many amazing, beautiful experiences await me in the next couple of months and years. If it happens, it happens. Not pressured and not desperate and so should you. 😉
Ahh... Back to my brother's wedding. Somehow I'm lost in my inner thoughts right now. Anyways, the wedding was held last December 03, 2022, Friday. The church ceremony was at Sta. Teresa de Avila-Talisay City, Cebu, and the reception was at South Town Center which is also nearby from the church. Mom was complaining a bit that the decorations at the church were a bit dry but for me, it didn't matter. What mattered was that my brother or his fiancé didn't chicken out and left either at the altar.
Anyways, I kind of missed the - entourage walking by the aisle - part as I and my older sister left the house a bit late because we had our hair and makeup done a bit late too. We didn't have roles but we still had our faces done because we don't want to go to our brother's wedding looking like an ordinary guest. There might be a slight chance I might bump into someone handsome and single too. 😉
My brother and his fiancé exchanged their vows and said "I do". Vicky is now officially a part of our family. The whole ceremony was short but sweet and was witnessed by the family, close relatives, and friends.
After the whole ceremony at the church, we went straight to the reception area. The entrance was decorated with a lot of white flowers (not real) that it seemed like you were walking into a garden. It was dreamy I should say. When I saw the rest of the room, I was touched by how simple yet romantic and beautiful the whole setup was. The red carpet, the centerpieces, and the hanging flowers at the center stage were for me beautiful. To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be that gorgeous after hearing about the low budget they had for the wedding.
I got the chance to take some photos of my brother and Vicky while they were doing a shoot with the official photographer they hired. Mind you, I wasn't keen on documenting this event as I just wanted to be present at the moment but somehow my blogger spirit can't resist. But in the end, I was just glad I did because I was able to capture memories my family will surely treasure forever.
From my dad doing his impromptu father's speech which my brother says left his audience speechless, to my older brother giving his impromptu Best Man speech, and to my younger sister delivering a prayer by confidently singing a worship song for the couple. What about me you say? Oh, I just slayed the single's game once again! Naughty dancing and kissing were witnessed by my parents and all the guests. Well, that's me just bringing more life and fun to the party!
"I love your aura!," said the bubbly gay wedding host that's why he made sure to include me in the single's game without knowing I was one of the sisters. And I didn't shy from showing some sexy moves since it was all for fun. In the end, the bubbly gay wedding host deliberately chose me to win the game and had that kissing thing with the chosen guy (my brother's staff). Don't you worry, everything was wholesome. 😉 I might share the video next time.
I drank too much wine after the game that the rest of the night went by in a blur but for sure was filled with fun, laughter, and a lot of love from those who attended the event. In the end, my brother and his wife were so happy with their special day despite the many challenges they faced during the preparations. I have to salute my parents as well for providing the necessary support (financially) just to make this momentous event become a reality.
So the big question...Who's next from my father's three single daughters?
Don't know and don't care! I and my sisters are all happy and enjoying this single life at the moment. Our current path hasn't brought us yet with our life partners and that's ok. We would just tease our parents and thank our brothers for saving us from such a dilemma. Till next time guys!
