Hello, my dear Hivers! It’s me again, , your college blogger from Cebu. What a blissful day! Our neighbor hosted a party, and everyone in our sitio was truly invited. It feels like this is already part of our Christmas culture—she really wanted to share simple Christmas gifts with everyone.
Ate Margie prepared a whole lechon and pancit because she wanted her guests to be happy and full. I was definitely one of those who got full and truly happy! She also held the party at the same time because it was her nephew’s birthday.
She organized an exchange gift and separated the gifts for kids and adults. For the kids, the gift was worth 30 pesos, while for adults it was worth 100 pesos. I joined the adult category since I’m already an adult—even if my height still looks like a kid’s, haha!
At the party, there was never a dull moment—the games were so fun and entertaining. Ate Margie was very happy seeing her neighbors enjoy the celebration she organized. The first game was Trip to Jerusalem, played by the adults. The game was so funny because we couldn’t stop laughing at their dancing. Once the music stopped, they had to stop dancing and rush to grab a chair. Whoever failed to sit down was eliminated.
The food at the party was lechon and pancit. Everything was delicious—the seasoning was just right.
These were also the gifts she prepared for us through a raffle. They may not have been many, but they were given wholeheartedly because it was Christmas, and during Christmas, we all share what we have.
These are the mommies who helped organize the gifts for the children.
We had so much fun. The cheering never stopped because while the kids and adults were playing, everyone was very competitive and energetic—no one wanted to lose since there were prizes for the winners.
And of course, a celebration wouldn’t be complete without drinks. I was offered a drink, and saying no wasn’t really an option because they said we don’t get to have fun like this often. So I accepted it, even though I knew it tasted bitter, haha!
I’m truly thankful to Ate Margie because if it weren’t for her, there wouldn’t have been a Christmas party. This is her from behind—hehe, I really forgot to take a picture with her because she was so busy organizing the games.
These are what I received from Ate Margie’s raffle: 2 kilos of rice and a set of Tupperware.
Thank you so much, Ate Margie. Love you 🫶😊
Merry Christmas, everyone, and advance Happy New Year! 🫶🫶🫶
