Wazzup, my dear Hivers! I just want to share my unforgettable holiday experience. It was my first time traveling with a friend, and we decided to visit the Bamboo Forest in Medellin, Bogo.
I was truly amazed by the surroundings. The place was so peaceful and calming. Every time I looked around, I felt relaxed—the sky was so blue, and the area was very quiet. Literally quiet, because it was just the two of us exploring the place. It was during the Christmas holidays, so most people were busy at that time.
Let me introduce my friend. We actually met on a Ceres bus while traveling north. We had the same destination, and even though we had just met, it felt like we had been friends for years because we instantly got along. We talked nonstop until we decided to go on a trip together while waiting for classes to resume.
We finally arrived at the Bamboo Forest. The place is quite far, so we rode a motorcycle going there. The entrance fee was only 30 pesos. The entrance itself was very nice and creatively made of bamboo—strong and truly living up to its name as a bamboo forest.
I was a bit sad because I didn’t get to take many photos since I was really enjoying the moment. I only managed to take a few pictures for remembrance, posing a bit to look taller in photos because I’m actually short. There were so many beautiful spots perfect for pictures. I even took a photo while riding a small tractor—so fun and memorable!
At first, I was shy about taking pictures, even ending up facing my back to the camera because I wanted to keep it low-key. But overall, the adventure was amazing. We shared life stories, laughed a lot, and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the place.
I’m very thankful to my friend for taking me there. It really helped me relieve my stress from school. Hopefully, I’ll be able to visit the Bamboo Forest again someday.
