Hey, Hivers! How's your week going? Today is a Eid al-Adha holiday in our country which means I have free time for the whole day. As of this writing, it's raining outside, probably the start of the rainy season.
Last weekend, my friends and I went to a beach resort in Mactan Lapu-lapu to chill and unwind. It's not overnight though because the room is quite expensive. We just really want to enjoy swimming by the pool and the beach.
The land trip was about 45 min to an hour to reach our location. Since we are 10 people, our group decided to rent a van to lessen our expenses.
Upon entering the resort, you will be greeted with this high ceiling information desk and lobby area. Day use rate is at 850 pesos per head which already includes a lunch meal.
It's past 10AM so we ordered our lunch ahead. For the menu, we have to choose either grilled chicken or pork as the main dish, with watermelon and orange juice. Most of us ordered pork.
They also have billiards as a center piece in their cafe.
As mentioned, we are here to unwind and swim our hearts out. After lunch, the temperature was still too hot so we rested and enjoyed the view for a while. At around 4pm, when the sun is about to set, we dipped into the pool.
They have 3 kinds of pools for different people. The first pool is for kids. It about 3-4 feet with slides mushroom waterfalls.
The second pool is for adults and swimmers. It range from 5-6 ft deep. When I dipped into this pool, I made sure to hold a grip in every angle to avoid accidents.
Lastly, my favorite is their infinity pool. This one has a cabana for rent on the sides, perfect for day use visitors. I love taking picture in this area since the view faces to the beach.
I didn't try swimming in the beach though because it was a high tide and I'm afraid the current might be too strong.
To say the least, we enjoyed our day trip to Vista Mar Beach resort and will definitely visit again.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
